FAQ

1) What should I expect during my first at-home treatment?

You do not need to provide anything, as I bring all the necessary equipment (portable massage table or reflexology chair, oils, towels etc) with me. If you would like to use your own towels, I will need two large and 1 small towel. I carry very nice relaxing music CDs with me, so if you have a CD player music can be played during the treatment to help you relax.

There is not much you need to do before your appointment, just ensure that a room has a temperature you feel comfortable at, take a shower and wear some comfortable clothes!

When I arrive to your appointment, I will need 5-10 minutes to set up all the equipment. At your first appointment a consultation will be necessary to establish your suitability for the treatment and discuss your needs/requirements. This usually takes 15 minutes.

After the consultation I will leave the room to wash my hands and to allow you undress to your underwear (this is for full body massage only). After undressing you will lie down on a massage table, cover yourself with towels and the treatment will start. Only the areas of your body that are being worked on are going to exposed!

During the treatment you are most welcome to ask questions and give your feedback. If at any time you will too warm/cold, would like me to change the pressure, would like more/less focus on any area, please let me know asap.

2) How long does a treatment last?

Please allow at least 1,5 hours for any treatment.

3) How will I feel after the treatment?

After having a massage treatment most people experience a sense of relaxation and calmness, or feel revitalised and re-energised, depending on what the aim of the treatment was.

However it is possible to experience certain “contra-actions” after a treatment, particularly if you never had a massage or reflexology before, or didn’t have a treatment for while.

Such contra-actions, or “healing crisis” are a result of massage or reflexology treatment increasing blood circulation and improving lymphatic drainage, which encourages more efficient elimination of toxins. Massage can also help to release deep-held negative emotions.

Some of the contra-actions include:

  • Headache
  • Thirst
  • Frequent urination
  • Feeling of tiredness or sleepiness
  • Heightened emotional state

This is a positive thing and a sign that all body systems are functioning more efficiently. It is ver important to follow aftercare advice, rest after the treatment and drink plenty of water.

4) Are there any situations when i treatment is not possible?

I will not be able to treat anyone with an actively contagious condition such as: Flu, Pneumonia, Shingles, Impetigo, Boils, Ringworm (Tinea), Fungal Infections etc.

If you are on any medication or are being treated for a medical condition, please check with your GP if you are allowed to have a treatment of your choice. Please check treatment information for a list of contraindications.

For Rejuvanessence® or Natural Face Lift Massage treatment is not possible within 3 weeks of having Botox and/or facial fillers.

Please note that this is a professional therapy service and NO SEXUAL SERVICES are provided. I will not proceed with a treatment in case of any inappropriate behaviour.

5) What types of oils/creams do you use?

For body massage I normally use Sweet Almond or Grapeseed Oil on its own or in combination with other oils such as Apricot Kernel, Evening Primrose, Hazelnut etc. Argan, Rose and other fine oils are used for face massage or Rejuvanessence®. Oils will be chosen according to your individual needs. Important! Please let me know of any allergies/sensitivities in advance!

6) What methods of payment do you accept?

I accept only cash payments at the moment.

7) What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your appointment, please give as much notice as possible. Full treatment price will be charged if you give less than 24 hours notice.
